Barley’s Left Coast Pale Ale

Left Coast is a political expression implying that the West Coast of the United States is politically left-wing. The implication is that California, Oregon and Washington (particularly, the coastal counties and cities within those states) vote more often for the Democratic Party than the other states in the west. This phrase plays on the fact that the west coast of the US is found on the left of the contiguous 48 states when viewing a map with north oriented upwards. The left coast also makes some rockin’ craft beers. So we wanted to try our hand at a California Pale Ale (think Sierra Nevada.) A bit lighter in body than our British inspired Pale Ale, and a brighter hop presence is what we were looking for. We think we found it, and we hope you enjoy it.
