Four String Troika Belgian Tripel

“The Trappist monks at Westvleteren first brewed their strong golden Abbey style ale to compete with the then increasing fame of pilsner. They produced a beer that didn’t taste anything like the famous golden lager of Eastern Europe, but it looked quite a bit like it and was fantastic! Tripels are relatively light in body and golden in color but are very complex with aromas that include banana, cotton candy, bubble gum, and clove. Don’t be fooled by the pale color of this beer. One taste and the alcoholic strength will be evident. This complex golden ale is very, very strong!”
