It has a dark caramel color, so prepare for a malty, smooth ride. It does not disappoint. A great malty, caramel flavor that goes superbly with a maple-based beer. The maple taste comes in after the initial taste and continues developing into the aftertaste. It’s the real deal. Maple syrup is expensive, hats off to Mault’s for the idea. The beer has a nice nutty/maple finish, but does not at all come across as sweet or sugary.
