Seventh Son Duke’s Law Double IPA

The Duke of York’s Laws for the Government of the Colony of New York were a set of guidelines laid out during colonial times in Long Island. The Duke’s Laws covered nearly every facet of life in the colony, including brewing. In an attempt to live up to his decree, we set out to brew a transatlantic double IPA with a sufficiently English character. A rich blend of American pale malt and UK crystal malts provide the heft to stand up to an unrestrained amount of UK hops. Boadicea, Target and Pilgrim give this DIPA a firm bitter bite, and aromas and flavors of earthy-apricot spice.
