This pre-prohibition style lager is a lost style. Sometimes called a dunkelbock at the turn of the 20th century it features a deeply melanoidin rich malt aroma and full malt flavor with overtones of rich toasted malt character. Despite all the malty character the bittering hops allow the beer to dry up and finish clean.
